Every project involves the hands-on-involvement of one or both firm partners at each stage of the project.
As architects, we offer a full range of services.
- Preparatory Services - Prior to initiating the design process we can assist in identifying and acquiring a site, assessing alternative project options, undertaking risk assessment, outlining municipal planning requirements and establishing budget estimates. This includes both residential and commercial projects.
- Design Phase – A series of meetings between the client and a firm principle are held to understand fully the needs of the project and to refine space requirements, site considerations and – not the least – aesthetic direction. Over the course of these sessions, a design will emerge through drawings and three dimensional images. The end product is design drawings that reflect the client’s needs, budget and aspirations.
- Construction Design Phase – Once the design has been approved, construction drawings and specifications are prepared and engineering consultants are acquired as needed. Necessary approvals are obtained and the resultant product is detailed construction documents. The subsequent documents establish the contract between the owner and building contractor. All work is done by or under close supervision of a firm principle.
- Contract and Construction Administration - Review of the project’s construction is the last step in the process. This begins with recommending contractors, preparing construction contracts and overseeing the tendering process. Once these steps are taken, we administer the implementation of the contracts, review the quality of construction as well as assess and certify contractor’s requests for payment. The end product is a completed project that meets your and our exacting standards.
